As the leading Latino-serving organization in East Tennessee, Centro exists to connect, celebrate, and elevate our community, and we envision an East Tennessee in which all Latino/a/e/x people can thrive culturally, educationally and economically. Our mission is to promote empowerment and civic participation through education, workforce development, youth and family engagement, and community-strengthening initiatives.

Mikey's Place is committed to helping families who are raising children with disabilities. Our mission is achieved threefold: We inform families with our biennial publication Mikey's Guide - a comprehensive resource book of disability-related services and programs. Second, we connect families to the services and information they need by hosting an Annual Special Needs Summer Camp & Resource Fair and by maintaining an active Facebook page. Finally, we support families by offering "camperships" to assist with the cost of specialized summer camps or other enriching summer activities.

Mission: That every girl gets the education she needs to better her life, her community, and her world. Vision: To educate and empower Kenya’s next generation of community leaders. Daraja is a secondary boarding school established for Kenyan girls with top academic scores and exceptional leadership skills but no means of continuing their education. Beyond a full scholarship and academic rigor, the academy provides shelter, food, healthcare and counseling services so students may focus on their academic and personal potential without the everyday barriers they would otherwise face. Our groundbreaking educational model has generated a community of students filled with intellectual curiosity and a hunger to learn.

Creating Friendships for Peace, Inc. is a volunteer grassroots organization whose mission is to promote and strengthen friendships between teens from divided communities and extend those friendships to their families and friends. The friendships are developed through homestays with American families. Each family hosts two teens – one from each side of a conflict. The teen pair shares a bedroom and learns about each other, understanding their different perspectives and realizing that friendships can develop despite significant political and cultural differences. With friendship, an atmosphere is created that allows for mutual respect and understanding – a key ingredient for peace. CFP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in the United States. Our volunteers were active in Northern Ireland from 1987 until 2007. We are currently active in Cyprus since 2009 and in Israel/Palestine since 2018. In our efforts to maintain neutrality, we do not accept government funding and rely solely on gifts from individuals, charitable foundations, and businesses who wish to make a difference for peace in the world. Creating Friendships for Peace believes in self-determination and peaceful conflict resolution for all cultures and nations. “I know if everyone had a sister/brother/sibling on the other side that they felt close to as much as I did to my pair, we would all be so much closer to peace.” Summer ’22 CFP Teen

Identity Mission supports vulnerable children by providing family-based care solutions alongside the local church.

Caring Hearts Ministry is an interdenominational non-profit whose mission is to be a blessing to the people in the extremely poor border town of San Luis Rio Colorado in Sonora, Mexico. Currently this is being accomplished through short terms missions trips and a permanent local Church. This local church parters with our other ministries such as Oasis Boys' Home, Medical Outreaches, A Soup Kitchen, Drug Rehab Center, and Blind Center. With hundreds of short term missionaries visiting these sites every year, Caring Hearts is focused on our mission presented in Matthew 25.

Build a Team of Parishad members for community service through a strong portfolio of programs and projects. Samskar – Cultivate Hindu Values Cultivate a spirit of self respect for our way of life, their environment, their Dharma Gurus and institutions and respect for the people of all colors, creeds, races and religions. Create opportunities for imbibing Hindu Values, Hindu Scriptures and Hindu Heritage through Bal Vihars, Camps, Family Retreats, Hindu Community Centers and Educational Institutions. Sampark – Network Establish Worldwide Contacts with Hindus institutions, temples and people through projects and programs focusing on Hindu interests. Bridge communities and people of all faith. Raise Funds for Parishad Mission.

Our mission is to help these new Vermonters to settle, work, and thrive in Central Vermont. In welcoming them, we see how they greatly enrich our own cultural and economic lives.
