Project You believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to become self-sufficient and financially stable. We provide vocational training, job placement and resource assistance to homeless and low-income women and men, many of whom are immigrants, in New York City. Through our highly successful programs, we empower some of the city’s most vulnerable people to get out of poverty, and begin building a path toward a sustainable future for themselves and their families.

Our mission is to educate, advocate and develop housing for individuals who suffer from the combined effects of chronic homelessness and serious mental illness.

The mission of Borromeo Housing, Inc. (BHI) is to empower young single mothers to create a self-sustaining future through education, counseling and support, while they reside in our safe home. BHI closely monitors the infants of our young mothers to ensure the children are parented responsibly, receive appropriate medical care, and meet individual developmental benchmarks. In this way, BHI is determined to present two generations of at-risk youth with alternatives to the perils of neglect, poor education, and inter-generational poverty.

Youth Guidance sees a bright and successful future for every elementary and high school student.  Because we believe that success in school is not only possible but should be achieved and celebrated, we are present in the schools to facilitate an environment that truly engages students in the learning process, and through careful guidance, enables them to realize their full potential and graduate with a meaningful plan for successfully managing life. Youth Guidance creates and implements school-based programs that enable children to overcome obstacles, focus on their education and, ultimately, to succeed in school and in life.

To encourage and support girls’ and women’s education, training, employment and retention in high-wage, high-skill, non-traditional careers.

To empower disabled, economically disadvantaged and at risk youth to complete high school and become self-sufficient, contributing members of society by teaching essential life skills, work ethics, and vocational skills.

To provide structured transitional housing & employment assistance to adult males (and females later in 2016) released from substance abuse treatment & penal institutions.

To help people with developmental disabilities meet life's challenges and reach their highest potential.

To transform lives through training and development of clients with barriers to employment. Providing educational opportunities, and training necessary to break the cycles of poverty, emotional instability and unavailable resources.

The mission of the Tompkins County Workers’ Center is to stand up with all people treated unfairly at work. We will support, advocate for, and seek to empower each other to create a more just community and world.

Easter Seals North Georgia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving children with disabilities and their families locally for over 50 years. We are an affiliate of the national organization, easter seals, inc. We provide high-quality services to ensure that all children with disabilities or other special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities. Vision: every family will have access to community resources that will strengthen and allow them to achieve self-sufficiency. Every child will start school healthy and ready to learn.
