Since 1991, we have helped more than 7,500 people find more than 11,500 quality jobs. We help motivated men and women break the barriers of poverty (and often the interrelated challenges of recovery, domestic violence, episodic homelessness, and incarceration) to get and keep good jobs, and more importantly rebuild hope, self-esteem and opportunity for themselves and their families in the process. Georgia Center for Opportunity is an independent, non-partisan think tank dedicated to increasing opportunity and improving the quality of life for all Georgians. We research solutions to society’s most pressing challenges, promote those solutions to policymakers and the public, and help innovative social enterprises deliver results on the ground. The primary pathways to opportunity – strong families, quality schools, and stable employment – which historically gave children a chance to succeed, regardless of social and economic background, have experienced a rapid decline. We study and understand the obstacles along these pathways and work to break through the barriers that keep Georgia children and families from thriving. Our mission is to create opportunities for a quality education, fulfilling work, and a healthy family life for all Georgians.

Community Housing Partnership’s mission is to help homeless people secure housing and become self-sufficient. Community Housing Partnership is an outcomes-focused nonprofit that fulfills its mission by developing and managing high quality supportive housing and providing services to homeless individuals, seniors and families to help them rebuild their lives and break the cycle of homelessness.

Founded in 1974, Homeward Bound of Marin strives to end homelessness in our community with training, housing and hope. Our programs range from emergency shelter to permanent supportive housing for families and individuals, combined with services like counseling and job training that help residents build a sustainable, independent future. We also operate several social enterprise businesses, including production of Wagster Treats dog biscuits and The Key Room event venue, that offer hands-on work experience to students and graduates while earning revenue to support our programs. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Homeward Bound plans to open 50 new units of housing for veterans and people moving back into the workforce.

Kamileon’s Kloset Professional Development, Inc. is an Atlanta-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to transform lives by promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged men and women seeking employment. We help each client transition into the workforce by providing professional attire, full-service image makeovers, and employment training. This program enhances the employment potential of each client, effecting a significant reduction in poverty, while underscoring the intrinsic dignity of each individual advancing into the workplace.

The mission of New Hope Enterprises is to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged individuals and families of greater Atlanta by illuminating pathways out of poverty through educational and vocational programs, job-readiness and job-training programs, case-managed client services, and real employment opportunities.

The mission of Maryland Community Connection is primarily to establish, operate, and maintain services in the community for individuals with developmental disabilities. Through trained, qualified, and fairly compensated staff, Maryland Community Connection services will assist each person to achieve a greater degree of social and economic independence and reduce the need for subsidized lifestyles. Maryland Community Connection policy requires that these services be provided to eligible Maryland participants without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, gender, or marital status.

Naledge In Action (NIA) is a Georgia nonprofit talent solution company that helps student leaders (ages 16-24) define a purpose-driven career pathway by developing their Social and Emotional Intelligence, workplace soft skills and providing opportunities to hone their skills through internships. NIA’s mission is to cultivate a pipeline of Top Talent Millennials to meet the current and future employment and entrepreneurial needs of business and industry in order for America to maintain its competitive economic edge.
