OUR DAILY MISSION IS TO ELIMINATE FOOD INSECURITY. We feed people with food, fellowship, and love. We provide food from a community of efforts. Families take home vital groceries; shut-ins enjoy a respite from loneliness while receiving a hot meal; children and teens bring home food for the weekend – all part of a community-wide effort to eliminate food insecurities, address childhood nutrition and extend the hand of God to others. We are an ALL volunteer organization. In 2023 we prepared 19,376 hot meals and provided 120,435 pounds of food to our neighbors in need who live in western Ashe County, North Carolina.
Our mission is the preservation and promotion of agriculture- the largest of the Commonwealth's industries. Specifically, the Foundation seeks to: enlighten the public about farming and agriculture; create educational programs for children who may have no other exposure to agriculture; train teachers on agricultural concepts while helping them meet their own continuing education requirements; support farmland preservation; fund scholarships for post-secondary agriculture studies; and promote career opportunities in agriculture.
ProJeCt of Easton, Inc.’s mission is to “build a better community by helping people help themselves” and education is key. We prepare people to succeed in work, school, and life by giving them the skills, knowledge, and support needed to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their goals. ProJeCt believes that education is the key to helping economically and educationally disadvantaged adults and children in the Lehigh Valley. Our school and workforce preparation services address the alarming poverty and low-literacy rates in the region by teaching clients the skills needed to succeed as a contributing member of society, whether in work, school, or as a citizen. All our programs are free, located in Easton, Pennsylvania, and are open to residents of the greater Lehigh Valley.
The Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank exists solely to provide relief to those who are food insecure in Lehigh County through the support of foundations, local congregations, businesses, organizations, and individuals. Persons living outside Lehigh County are referred to food banks in their respective areas.
The Share Food Program is a nonprofit organization serving a regional network of community organizations engaged in food distribution, education, and advocacy.
Deliver nourishing, low cost meals to persons in the Penn Manor School District who are temporarily or permanently ill or disabled, the elderly living alone or homebound, or those who are convalescing; thus enabling our clients to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
