AN ANNUAL BANQUET IS HELD WHERE FIFTEEN ARKANSAS MILITARY VETERANS WILL BE INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF FAME AND AWARDED THE "HALL OF FAME MEDALLION" RECOGNIZING THEIR MILITARY SERVICE TO OUR NATION AND TO THE STATE OF ARKANSAS. OF THE FIFTEEN INDUCTEES, UP TO EIGHT WILL BE SELECRED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THEIR VALOROUS MILITARY SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY AND UP TO SEVEN WILL BE SELECTED FOR THEIR COMBINED MILITARY/CIVILIAN SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNUITY, STATE, AND NATION.

The National Association of Atomic Veterans (NAAV) was founded in August 1979 by the late Orville E. Kelly of Burlington, Iowa. Its purpose is to provide the U. S. Atomic Veteran community to speak, with a single voice, to their inability to get a fair hearing related to their developing radiogenic health issues that may have been precipitated by their exposure to “ionizing” radiation while participating in a nuclear weapon test detonation, or a “post-test” event. From the beginning, and to date, we continue to pursue our dedication to this important cause.

The TADSAW (Train A Dog - Save A Warrior) mission is to provide for the training of a Medical Alert Service Dog, as designated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, for Any wounded Veteran Service Member (Active Duty, Retired, Discharged), surviving with Military Induced Anxiety Depression Syndrome (MIADS), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), in order to restore and improve the Veteran's Quality of Life with a canine 'Battle Buddy', at no charge to the Veteran or their family.
The National Veterans Foundation (NVF) was founded in 1985 to help veterans streamline the process of accessing help for the myriad of needs they face, and to help broaden public understanding of these needs--including crisis/PTSD counseling, medical treatment, legal aid, VA benefits assistance, food, shelter, education, employment training, homelessness services, and substance abuse treatment. The NVF operates the Nation's only live, toll-free crisis management, information, and referral helpline (1-888-777-4443; [email protected]) for all veterans and their families; coordinates Public Awareness Programs designed to increase awareness and understanding about the effects of war and human needs of Americas veterans; and conducts ongoing outreach programs that provide veterans and families in need with food, clothing, transportation, employment, and other essential resources.
