PROMOTE PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL IN THE COMMUNITIES OF TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA

The White Rock Lake Foundation is instrumental in presenting the case for the rescue and improvement of White Rock Lake. It coordinates public relations efforts, serves as a unified advocacy group before the Dallas City Council, acts in close and effective cooperation with the Dallas Park and Recreation Board to assist in long-term planning and design, and spearheads private fund raising efforts.The White Rock Lake Foundation got its start in 1989, when Dallas business woman Jeannie Terilli founded Friends of White Rock Lake, which consisted of a dozen residents who shared her concern for the lake. Friends' first task was to have the dredging project for the lake placed on the upcoming bond election. Friends was among several similarly concerned groups who pleaded the case before the Dallas City Council, with successful results: the issue was placed on the bond referendum and in May, 1995, Dallas voters overwhelmingly approved a $9 million dollar bond issue to dredge White Rock Lake and restore it to a healthy, life-sustaining depth by the end of the century.From those grassroots origins, the White Rock Lake Foundation has been instrumental in presenting the case for the rescue and improvement of White Rock Lake. The leadership of the White Rock Lake Foundation adopted an initial list of goals that includes the development of a Comprehensive Landscape Architectural Concept Plan and a schedule for all of the restoration, preservation and development efforts at the lake. These goals have been adopted by the Dallas Park and Recreation Department.Fund raising continues to be a critical component of the Foundations' responsibilities. Private funds pay for “amenities" at the park such as picnic tables, bicycle racks, park benches, trash receptacles, and additional landscaping.

The mission of The First Tee of Greater Dallas is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, still life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The chapter serves the Greater Dallas community, including Dallas, Collin, Denton, Ellis and other surrounding counties. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community

PROVIDING ACCESS TO A LIFETIME OF OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF) is a nonprofit community ski organization based in Bozeman, Montana. We provide and fund educational and competitive programs for all ages, year round, in Nordic, Alpine, Freeskiing, Freestyle, Freeride, and Snowboarding. BSF also grooms an incredible network of community Nordic ski trails for the public in Bozeman.

The BlueRibbon Coalition champions multiple use of public lands for the benefit of motorized and other recreationists by educating and empowering its members to: Secure, protect, and expand shared outdoor recreation access and use of public lands. Work collaboratively with land managers and other recreationists. Educate the general public, media, elected officials and other decision makers on land-use issues. Promote responsible use of public lands. Promote equitable and responsible land management by government agencies. Affect the legislative and administrative process to protect and expand public access to public lands. Initiate or intervene in lawsuits to secure, protect and expand responsible recreation opportunities on public lands. BlueRibbon serves outdoor recreationists in all 50 of the United States.

Through mindful engagement in inspiring outdoor experiences, we aim to enhance the lives of children who experience anxiety and depression and their families. ​The Courage Project seeks to raise awareness and destigmatize mental health concerns, one adventure at a time.

The Derby Dolls are committed to achieving the highest level of competition, integrity and production quality, while enriching the lives of its members and community through sport. This mission is accomplished through a state-of-the-art training program, professionally produced bouts, introductory classes, and tailored workshops for community groups.
