In partnerships with school districts, Citizen Schools increases students’ total learning time by 35-40%. Its year-long academic enrichment program creates a powerful culture of achievement school-wide, and effectively builds bridges between schools, parents and community members. Citizen Schools’ goal is to prepare students for school success, college graduation, career opportunities, and community leadershistrengthened oral communication and leadership skills, and increased access to positive peers, adults and experiences that are supportive of a post-secondary education.

The mission of Communities In Schools Dallas Region is to help students at risk of failure stay in school, achieve academically and graduate, to become productive and contributing members of our communities. CISDR works right on the school campus every day, all day, one on one with struggling students to stay in school and succeed.  CISDR connects these students and families to community resources/services through its strong partnerships with school districts, educators, corporations, institutions of higher learning, government agencies, faith based and community organizations.

The mission of The Dougy Center is to provide support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults and their families who are grieving a death can share their experiences. Through our National Center for Grieving Children & Families, The Dougy Center also provides support, resources and training locally, nationally and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief using The Dougy Center model.

The Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund offers high school scholarship assistance and programmatic support to Chicago students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. For Love of Children is a 501(c)(3), community-based nonprofit organization that has been working with young people and their families in Washington, D.C. since 1965. FLOC’s mission is to provide educational services beyond the classroom to help DC students succeed from first grade through college and career. FLOC leverages a network of professional staff, trained volunteers, engaged families, and active community partners to teach, empower, and transform students’ lives. Almost 600 students access FLOC’s after-school, weekend and summer programs at public schools across DC, in FLOC’s headquarters in Ward 1, and at FLOC’s Outdoor Education Center in West Virginia.

The mission of The FORGE is to enrich the spiritual, educational, vocational and leadership development of inner-city families through Christ-centered mentoring thereby bringing transformational growth to Houston?s Third Ward. Our target population is on the low end of every economic scale and routinely falls through the cracks of most empowerment/rehabilitative organizations.
