Amigos For Kids Blue Ribbon Campaign - coordinates activities throughout April's National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Since April 2004, Amigos has spearheaded efforts in cooperation with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Rebeca Sosa, the Mayors of the City of Miami, Coral Gables, and Miami-Dade County, and other local community leaders and organizations to provide an informative series of events. Its purpose is to create awareness, through education and community involvement, and promote positive parenting as relates to the issues of child abuse. The organizaton's goal and vision is to promote its There's NO excuse for child abuse! campaign nationally in 2012.
