The main objective of the ASOCIACIÓN MENSAJEROS DE LA PAZ is the care, attention, support, rehabilitation, treatment for human and social promotion of the most disadvantaged and needy groups in Spain and in several countries all over the world in order to promote their full integration: minors, young people living under social risk conditions, abused women, physical and psychical handicapped people, drug addicts, and old people who live alone, in abandon or poverty conditions.

Join us to fight Famine Mission Famine is one of the most common evils in our communities because of natural disasters, conflicts, unstable economic situations, and the lack of fundamentals in management and self-reliance principles. The goal is to support communities by training them on small projects in the processing, production, and conservation of food products. Strategies Food for All Program Based on local realities, we identify communities of different strata of our populations in the grip of hunger, living in rural areas and some in urban areas and help them to take charge of themselves by efficiently exploiting natural resources at their disposal. With our partners who are experts in the field, we provide basic training, provide production tools such as watering cans, seeds, etc. Beneficiaries commit to perpetuate this culture in their families and commit to contributing with resources such as land for gardening, time, and availability to learn and share knowledge on agricultural techniques they receive from our program. Education ________________________________________ Mission We help people from disadvantaged social strata to acquire basic and practical trainings for their personal, collective development, and Self-reliance. Strategies Professional Training: In partnership with Local professional training centers, we provide short-terms practical trainings in the following areas: - Sewing Skills - Masonry & Construction Skills - Plumbing Skills - Cooking Skills - Agriculture & Farming Skills - Welding Skills Literacy: With proven technicians and partners working in the field of education, we organize French literacy classes for women and children first. Adults in need are also considered. Scholarship: In partnership with local orphan's supporting structures, we help pay school fees for orphans and other children in real need. PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT Emergency Responses NGO Partnerships Emergency Responses Becoming inevitable, natural disasters are more and more frequent in our communities, creating enormous damage. Our mission is that whenever one occurs within our reach, that we provide assistance and relief to the victims. It has been reported that on average, humanitarian crises are more complex than at any time in the last 15 years, and last nearly three years longer than they used to. Conflict, migration, climate change and now the unexpected pandemic (COVID-19) are the key trends driving these crises. Critical Emergency Responses to Address: - Providing the basics (Soap, Sanitizers, masks etc.) - Reinforce Sanitation to minimize infection As they arise in our area of activities, Emergency responses will be posted and best approaches shared on our website and social media pages Strategies In partnership with local institutions, we identify and quantify needs to find a more effective approach to addressing the emergency. We mobilize volunteers, collect donations in kind and in cash depending on the type of disaster and work closely with the competent structures to relieve the affected communities. Venuste Niyongabo is the first and only Olympic Champion in the history of Burundi, winning a gold medal in the 5000m at the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996. He is a role model and source of inspiration, and is committed to dedicate his time and athletic experience to help bring communities together across all ethnic, religious, and social divides in his country, Burundi, and in the African Great Lakes region. As an Olympian, Venuste personifies the values of excellence, teamwork, and discipline and is determined to show that sport goes beyond sporting performances and plays a genuine role for serving society. Since 2009, Venuste has been strongly involved in the peace through sport movement, by collaborating with Peace and Sport and being an active member of the Champions for Peace club. The Foundation was Founded in 2022, the Fondation Venuste Niyongabo (FVN) is a non-governmental organization under Burundian law. Drawing its roots from an international context and working in cooperation with international organizations such as Peace and Sport, the FVN carries out its interventions in a local context, in line with the vision of the Burundian Government, the National Development Plan (PND), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The mission of the FVN , Contribute to a sustainable socio-economic development in Burundi, through the improvement of services, infrastructures and means in the education, health, rural development, and employability sectors, and relying on the values and universality of sport to inspire social interaction and sharing. Areas of intervention : Based on the acknowledgement that the return on investment of sport in terms of health savings and educational outcomes is generally recognized as positive, the FVN relies on sport and its capacity to facilitate education and life skills acquisition to intervene around four main areas: - Education - Health - Sustainability and protection of the environment - Rural development

Leveraging technology to end social injustices

Good governance ensures accountability, fairness, and transparency throughout our social, governmental, and business systems. On the African continent, women are underrepresented at every level in the workplace, especially in senior leadership roles. According to the UN, this type of unequal treatment of women in the workplace has cost Sub-Saharan Africa approximately $105bn and has significant implications on the utilization of the continents full human capital potential and achievement of its development goals. The Boardroom Africa was borne out of these realities. We champion female leadership on a pan-African level by building a network of women leaders who collectively dispel the myth that there aren't enough qualified women to support the growth of the continent. We help build role models at the top to change the way organizations are led through our educational content. We offer a board training program for women across the continent and to date, we've trained 64+ women. We also have built a community of over 1,000 women on the continent leading change and deliver open webinars, trainings, and meetups to upskill this network. Finally, we've conducted publicly released research on 13 African countries to assess the gender gap in their companies. We want to shift the demand by ensuring society realizes the benefits of increased female participation in leadership, and create an ecosystem of women who can go into the world and inspire others.

he World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) is an international non-governmental organisation representing and promoting approximately 70 million deaf people's human rights worldwide. The WFD is a federation of deaf organisations from 134 nations; its mission is to promote the human rights of deaf people and full, quality and equal access to all spheres of life, including self-determination, sign language, education, employment and community life. WFD has a consultative status in the United Nations and is a founding member of International Disability Alliance (IDA). At its recent World Congress in Jeju, South Korea, WFD members (136) approved the WFD strategic direction 2023-2030 and Action Plan 2023-2027. Important themes are covered in these 2 documents which strive to ensure that we create access for all deaf people to all ways of life in "a world where deaf people everywhere can sign anywhere" (vision). Furthermore, our mission is to work towards the full realisation of linguistic rights and human rights in all areas of life, with full recognition and implementation of these rights across local, national and international levels. To realise our mission and vision, the following are part of our Action Plan 2023-2027: Building Capacity across the Globe: ensuring increased participation of women, youth and underrepresented communities; provide effective capacity building projects to countries who are not yet members to assist them with creating their own national deaf associations so that they can represent themselves in their countries; Putting Deaf people on the Agenda: the WFD will continue to strive to put deaf human rights at the forefront of all representation internationally, including at the UN; we will effectively promote International Week of Deaf people and be ready to response to deaf people's needs in times of crises, disasters and war. Realising nothing about us without us: the WFD continues to be the leading authority for deaf people and sign languages and has committed to developing resources to assist deaf people raise awareness in their countries. Achieving Sign Language Rights for all: National sign languages are fundamental to achieving deaf people's human rights. We will aim to assist our member states in promoting the legal recognition of signed language in the country and advocate for early childhood language acquisition and inclusive multilingual education policies. Investing in a strong and sustainable organisation: to carry out our mission and vision we need greater investment in our secretariat and regional secretariat, expand our donor base, increase visibility and fundraising activities so that our organisation can carry on its important global work.

Zetu Foundation's Mission is to provide basic classroom equipment for children in remote and refugee primary schools across Africa to sit comfortably and write properly during classes by using SeatPacks: $15 school bags that turn into bamboo classroom chairs with writing surfaces (and menstrual toolkits for adolescent girls inside). This mission is inspired by 3 core reasons: 1. Over 95 million African school-children today attend school lessons without a place to sit comfortably and write properly directly discouraging their interest in school. This is due to the high cost of tree-timber furniture (average $100 per unit to sit 3 students). 2. Replacing tree-timber furniture with sustainable bamboo furniture using SeatPacks can greatly combat Climate Change at scale over the next 20 years. 3. Giving adolescent girls a menstrual toolkit in each bag increases school attendance all year by 20%, creating equal gender opportunities for girls in rural communities to define their futures. The SeatPack has been locally designed and proven to directly address the above 3 issues. SeatPacks are used daily by 2,200 children in 32 schools across Uganda alone (East Africa) and are designed, produced, and delivered by a local team with local leadership all living in Uganda. Our goal is to gift 1 million African school children by 2030 the daily experience of sitting comfortably and writing properly during classes so they can make their future dreams come true. Meeting this goal means: 1. Together, we improve learning and future opportunities for 1 million children in remote and refugee communities. 2. We combat climate change by conserving up to 1 million trees through replacement of bamboo as the key furniture material for classrooms. 3. We create equal opportunity for adolescent girls by reclaiming up to 20% of their school year attendance previously lost due to menstrual hygiene challenges that encouraged school dropping out. The SeatPack was designed by the Zetu Africa team primarily for the Zetu Foundation to bring it to 1 million school children by 2030. The SeatPack is 100% locally produced in Uganda with local artisans and bamboo farmers. Research and design development started late 2019 under the for profit named Zetu Africa and 17 iterations have been tested with child and teacher feedback. The Zetu Foundation has been established to fund SeatPack production and distribution for children from the poorest communities at no extra cost to the children or their families. The SeatPack is: 1. Personal and Mobile; making the classroom a natural extension of every child, with sitting and writing functions possible wherever they choose to learn (Indoor and outdoor). 2. Light weight; at 600 grams each unit is less than 10% the weight of a 6 year old girl with one main pocket to limit heavy load intentionally. 3. Non-chemically treated bamboo and canvas, replacing tree-timber as the sustainable alternative material for classroom furniture. 4. Gender equality conscious with a menstrual toolkit for female adolescent students to stay in school all year round. 5. Durable with a 5 year working guarantee. Canvas and bamboo lends all-weather material strength, with no zippers or buttons for easy repair by sewing if torn. 6. Low cost at $15 per unit versus the $100 tree-timber furniture unit traditionally used by well to do schools.
