Visions for Children e.V.

Worldwide, around 60 million children have no access to primary education and roughly 387 million children are unable to acquire basic skills, despite attending school (Global Education Monitoring Report, UNESCO, 2017). It is our vision to create a world in which every child can read and write. Since 2006, Visions for Children e.V. has been committed to ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to obtain a basic education with which they can acquire basic skills. We particularly build on and contribute to the fourth sustainability goal of the United Nations' Agenda 2030 - namely to ensure an equitable and high-quality education. We believe schools to be anchor points that give children the chance of a self-determined future by means of capacity building within the entire region.

Hanseatic Help e.V.

Hanseatic Help e.V. has been an active non profit organisation for the past six years. Our main field of work centres around both the collection of clothing, hygiene products, tents and sleeping bags as well as the subsequent distribution of these products to over 200 NGOs in Hamburg (e.g. Hamburger Tafel, GoBanyo, Bergedorfer Engel). Through our daily work we have been able to support over 100.000 people in Hamburg, ranging from homeless men and women, to the elderly, refugees and also families and single parents with low incomes. Besides the distribution of essential goods, we also offer reintegration programmes into the job market to people who have been long-term unemployed, people suffering from mental illnesses, people with migration backgrounds who are looking for work experience within the field of logistics, but also take part in the federal voluntary service programme (Bundesfreiwilligendienst). On top of this, we welcome between 150 to 200 volunteers regularly who support us with our daily logistic tasks, our social media content, fundraising but also the organisation of cultural events such as concerts. Hanseatic Help thus functions as a meeting point for a diverse, multicultural group of people. We welcome everyone with open arms, regardless of their cultural, ethnic or religious background, socio-economic status, gender, age or sexual orientation. Our organisation has grown substantially over the past years and we are continuously looking for funding to keep our organisation running. For this reason, we would be grateful if you would consider our organisation for your MILES charity program. If you have any questions regarding our work, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or phone. We look forward to hearing back from you and thank you very much in advance for your time and consideration.

Avinjo Foundation e.V.

We firmly believe that projects executed by community-led NGOs have the most significant impact on improving livelihoods and ensuring sustainability. NGOs operating on the ground possess the profound understanding of the challenges faced by the community and the environment. They work diligently and adopt solution-oriented approaches to tackle these issues effectively. However, a notable challenge lies in the fact that many community-based NGOs struggle to access private online donations. This is primarily due to the lack of financial and personal resources, as well as limited awareness about this valuable fundraising option. Our mission is to accelerate community-led change by empowering non-profit organizations with fundraising and supporting them with content creation for their fundraising strategies. We also provide online volunteering for NGOs, so they can focus on their impact-driven projects on the ground. We want locally operating NGOs to grow and improve their impact.

Teach First Deutschland

We want all children and young people to experience good education and participation - regardless of their starting conditions. That's why we find people who change the world. We recruit them to lead students to success and to work for a just education system. To this end, they are qualified and supported in our leadership program and, as fellows, gain formative experience in schools in challenging environments. During their two-year assignment and beyond, they become part of a global movement for equitable education.
