We help injured and unwanted animals in need through rescue, rehoming, rehabilitation, and sanctuary. We need to raise £6,500 every day to pay for all our animal care costs.We’re passionate about creating a world where animals are treated with kindness, respect and understanding.

We work for a Greece where animals live free from suffering, running projects throughout the country that transform the lives of animals by providing much-needed compassionate health care. In this way, and through our many partnerships and community groups, we address the root causes of poor welfare and advocate for the lasting protection of animals.

We are a community based self funding charity affiliated to National Mencap. We support people with learning and or physical disabilities to access regular social, leisure, sporting and respite opportunities.

Founded in 1875, we are one of the oldest beekeeping societies in the UK one of the earliest to join the British Beekeeping Association. We were awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2024. Our Apiary on Nobold Lane, Shrewsbury was a source of drinking water for Shrewsbury from C16th to 1947 and still retains some of the Elizabethan features.With the help of our volunteers we:- manage our Apiary which has wildflower meadows, a traditional orchard of heritage varieties, woodland and hedgerows, a marshy area with a pond and borehole fed stream, bird boxes and garden vegetable and flower beds.- provide swarm advice and collection to members of the public- run training courses for beginners encourage new beekeepers- run training courses for members to improve their skillsThe Apiary is open to the public from 09:30 – 12:30 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The STAR Centre offers free and confidential support to anyone aged 13+ (women, girls, men, boys and those who identify as transgender or non-binary), of any ethnicity who has experienced any type of sexual violence at any time in their lives.We also work with local schools, colleges, universities and youth groups and local agencies educating about gender based and sexual violence.We are part of the Rape Crisis Scotland Network and work within the National Rape Crisis Service standards. Establishing Eastleigh's 1st Mosque aims to address this, providing a space for daily prayers and islamic education for growing young & elderly population.
