Vulture Club

The Vulture Club was founded in 2012 and we became a registered charity in 2014 following successful funding from statutory commissioned services in the local area to support people affected by drug and alcohol abuse. We currently operate in the heart of Whitehaven town centre where we offer a 5-day week program of activities, delivered by our team of 2 members of staff, 1 paid facilitator,11 volunteers which includes a further 5 facilitators and our Trustees. 85% of staff, volunteers and Trustees have lived experience.Our team are from West Cumbria and through our own working experience and participation within the drug and alcohol recovery field in Cumbria, we felt and understood that there was a real need to provide contextual support to people who were trying to recover from their substance addiction in our community, and that’s when we formed the Vulture Club.

Provides advice, information and practical support to Gurkha veterans, wives, widows and their families in accessing health, welfare, and educational support in the UK.

Bliss Cavalier Rescue

Bliss Cavalier Rescue is a breed specific rescue. We are passionate about the dogs and strive to help as many as we can. Dogs need to be rehomed for various reasons, changes in family circumstances and financial reasons primarily, but we also take ex-breeding dogs who are no longer wanted.
