Tonic is a community-led not for profit organisation. We are focused on creating LGBTQ+ affirming retirement communities. Tonic was established in 2014 to address the issues of loneliness and isolation of older LGBTQ+ people and the need for specific housing and support provision.
We partner with workers from other countries to secure their rights in the UK, end exploitation, build power and create lasting change together. We offer support and advice in many different languages and work to change laws and systems that are hurting people.
Wigton Baths was built in 1901 for the local community. In 2015 the Baths became Wigton Baths Trust, a registered charity, after the threat of closure in 2014.Wigton Baths is a community pool that prides itself on accessible swimming for all, encouraging water safety - an essential life skill!
Triveni Aylesbury, founded in May 2023, is a registered charity dedicated to building stronger community bonds by celebrating festivals, cultural events, and Hindu religious occasions. Guided by our motto “Serving Humanity, Nurturing Spirituality,” we promote unity, wellbeing, and cultural pride.
With over 150 active members, ranging from ages 7 to 60+, we run weekly fitness and training sessions to develop future lifesavers. Our goal is to prepare members to become qualified lifeguards, many of whom voluntarily patrol Jackson’s Bay beach during the summer months or work for the RNLI.
Alfred Salter PTFA works with the school to raise funds to develop & improve the school environment to build the best learning environment for our children. We've supported improving the school’s outdoor play areas including a sandpit & climbing frame & are raising to update books in the school.
Penkhull Village Hall Community Trust runs the village hall for the community. We do not receive external funding & rely on hire income for day to day running costs & maintenance. Donations help us to tackle the big problems that keep emerging like roof leaks, tank bursts & heating failures.
