he World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) is an international non-governmental organisation representing and promoting approximately 70 million deaf people's human rights worldwide. The WFD is a federation of deaf organisations from 134 nations; its mission is to promote the human rights of deaf people and full, quality and equal access to all spheres of life, including self-determination, sign language, education, employment and community life. WFD has a consultative status in the United Nations and is a founding member of International Disability Alliance (IDA). At its recent World Congress in Jeju, South Korea, WFD members (136) approved the WFD strategic direction 2023-2030 and Action Plan 2023-2027. Important themes are covered in these 2 documents which strive to ensure that we create access for all deaf people to all ways of life in "a world where deaf people everywhere can sign anywhere" (vision). Furthermore, our mission is to work towards the full realisation of linguistic rights and human rights in all areas of life, with full recognition and implementation of these rights across local, national and international levels. To realise our mission and vision, the following are part of our Action Plan 2023-2027: Building Capacity across the Globe: ensuring increased participation of women, youth and underrepresented communities; provide effective capacity building projects to countries who are not yet members to assist them with creating their own national deaf associations so that they can represent themselves in their countries; Putting Deaf people on the Agenda: the WFD will continue to strive to put deaf human rights at the forefront of all representation internationally, including at the UN; we will effectively promote International Week of Deaf people and be ready to response to deaf people's needs in times of crises, disasters and war. Realising nothing about us without us: the WFD continues to be the leading authority for deaf people and sign languages and has committed to developing resources to assist deaf people raise awareness in their countries. Achieving Sign Language Rights for all: National sign languages are fundamental to achieving deaf people's human rights. We will aim to assist our member states in promoting the legal recognition of signed language in the country and advocate for early childhood language acquisition and inclusive multilingual education policies. Investing in a strong and sustainable organisation: to carry out our mission and vision we need greater investment in our secretariat and regional secretariat, expand our donor base, increase visibility and fundraising activities so that our organisation can carry on its important global work.

For over 40 years, Action Education (formerly Aide et Action), an international association for development through education, has been ensuring access to quality education for the most vulnerable and marginalized populations, in particular children, girls and women, so that all can shape their own development and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world.

Use approaches such as the Theory of Change and emerging modes such as transdisciplinary, action, participatory, critical and transformative research. Explore all the potential ways to effectively adopt and apply policy frameworks such as the UN SDGs in compliance with the principles of accepted international instruments, standards and best practices. Document information and resources necessary for action plans and strategies. Link ideas, policies, people and practices for sustainable development by connecting researchers, policymakers and practitioners. Collaborate with universities, research institutes, policy organisations, local councils and NGOs/ CSOs locally, nationally and internationally. Harness the expertise and resources of the diaspora.

WDC's work combines concern for the welfare of individual whales, dolphins and porpoises with efforts to ensure the protection of the species, populations and their habitats. Every day, lives are changed by a single, selfless act - the gift of organ donation. Among those waiting for transplants are 2 groups of people: those who die waiting and those who receive the gift of life. Our work raises awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donors while helping recipients who have overcome the impossible to live life to the fullest. These individuals have faced life's greatest challenges; they are advocates for the cause but need resources, education and community. Transplant recipients have a unique opportunity to advocate for organ donation and raise awareness. Physical activity plays a crucial role in the recovery and long-term health of recipients. When recipients compete in world events, they demonstrate to the world what can be achieved through the gift of organ donation. Additionally, our programs provide recipients with community, tools, and resources to address the many challenges they face, leading to an increased quality of life. The WTGF promotes amateur sport amongst recipients, living donors and donor families; promoting the study of transplantation; educating the public and raising awareness of the world shortage of donor organs; sharing new knowledge from biological/clinical studies; promotion of mental and moral improvement for recipients, living donors and donor families; fostering international friendship and relations.

Our Mission Sew Bee-Cause is dedicated to creating a sustainable and impactful solution by upcycling pre-used fabrics to produce clothing and women's sanitary pads for refugee children and orphanages. We aim to promote sustainability while empowering women and advocating for children's rights.

Our Programs: Our programs are designed to plant the seeds of dignity and self-reliance by providing the tools and knowledge for real, lasting change-empowering children to grow their own food instead of relying on free meals, helping women build sustainable livelihoods instead of depending on handouts, and equipping youth with the skills and opportunities to rewrite their futures and lead change. Food Security & Environmental Stewardship: We promote sustainable agriculture, food security, and environmental education through school gardens and school nutrition kitchens as part of our Education Without Hunger program-enabling children and communities to grow their own food, conserve natural resources, and adopt environmentally responsible practices that support ecosystem sustainability. The children consume the organic vegetables grown in their school and home gardens-gardens they have been empowered to cultivate through the knowledge and skills we have provided. By doing so, they have become nourished, overcoming malnutrition, and achieving food security within their communities. We are also working toward integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into national policy, advocating for sustainability, climate action, and self-sufficiency to become core components of the education system. Social Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Livelihoods: Through the Green Empowerment Project, we equip women with skills and resources to develop ethical, sustainable livelihoods by transforming waste into wealth; -Training in sustainable social entrepreneurship: Equipping women with skills and ethical production methods. -Promoting eco-friendly, locally sourced products: Encouraging the creation of products from recycled, natural, and biodegradable materials. Examples of waste-to-wealth products: Banana fiber bags & accessories made from discarded banana tree trunks. Palmyra leaf products and other biodegradable alternatives. By promoting sustainable entrepreneurship, we empower women to generate income, achieve self-sufficiency, and contribute to a greener, more resilient economy. Empowering Women & Promoting Gender Equality: We address gender-based violence through prevention and transformation: -Prevention - Self-defense training for women to enhance confidence, safety, and empowerment. -Transformation - Educating boys on positive masculinity, consent, and respect for women to break cycles of violence and inequality. Pls note: We have developed a curriculum and are currently producing e-learning videos to scale this as an Ed-Tech module in schools. Our Founder-President has already trained over 200,000 women and 30,000 boys in Indian public schools and villages through this program, proving its effectiveness. With the necessary funding, we are prepared to implement this tried-and-tested model in Sri Lankan schools to create long-term impact. Youth Skill-Building & Employment We are launching our first Ed-Tech module in the second half of this year, focusing on spoken English with integrated environmental education. Additionally, we are exploring a partnership with a digital platform offering job-ready courses that we hope to roll out next year. With the necessary funding, we aim to provide access to these courses for outstanding students, equipping Sri Lankan youth with the relevant skills needed to secure meaningful careers and contribute to economic growth. Our Commitment: By embedding sustainability into education, livelihoods, and social systems, we create lasting impact beyond aid, ensuring every initiative leads to a stronger, self-sufficient, and resilient Sri Lanka.

Research and Development of local language ICTs for education innovations for 21st Century for the empowerment of marginalized youth. It focuses on providing access to national education and local language advanced technology skill development. Shilpa Sayura has significantly contributed to rural education via Nenasala Telecentres and schools nationwide. Currently, the organization is at the forefront of equipping youth with skills in programming, IoT, Machine Learning, AI, and robotics, steering them towards careers in emerging technologies. This initiative is bolstered by support from Google Education, Internet Society, Adobe Inc., and the APNIC Foundation.
