Fundacja IT Girls

The IT Girls Foundation is dedicated to empowering women, children, youth, and underserved groups by providing access to education, mentorship, and career opportunities in the technology sector. Our mission is to break down barriers, promote gender equality, and create an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to thrive in the world of IT. We believe that technology plays a crucial role in shaping the future, and our goal is to ensure that this future is equally accessible to all. Through our diverse programs, we aim to inspire and support young girls, students, and women to pursue careers in IT, encouraging them to explore their potential and challenge stereotypes in the tech industry. Our foundation runs numerous initiatives, including workshops, mentorship programs, cybersecurity academies, and career development resources. These initiatives are designed to foster confidence, build critical skills, and create lasting connections with industry professionals. We also place a strong emphasis on early-stage education, working with children and teenagers to spark interest in technology from a young age. Since our inception, we have impacted thousands of lives across Poland. To date, over 89,000 people have benefited from our programs, with over 4 million people reached through awareness campaigns such as METSy. Additionally, 71,000+ children have enjoyed our Updated Fairy Tales, where the focus is on giving girls agency in tech-themed narratives. Our long-term vision is to continue scaling our efforts, engaging more women, youth, and underrepresented groups, and working closely with partners and the tech community to build a more equitable and inclusive future in technology.

The World Transplant Games Federation

Every day, lives are changed by a single, selfless act - the gift of organ donation. Among those waiting for transplants are 2 groups of people: those who die waiting and those who receive the gift of life. Our work raises awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donors while helping recipients who have overcome the impossible to live life to the fullest. These individuals have faced life's greatest challenges; they are advocates for the cause but need resources, education and community. Transplant recipients have a unique opportunity to advocate for organ donation and raise awareness. Physical activity plays a crucial role in the recovery and long-term health of recipients. When recipients compete in world events, they demonstrate to the world what can be achieved through the gift of organ donation. Additionally, our programs provide recipients with community, tools, and resources to address the many challenges they face, leading to an increased quality of life. The WTGF promotes amateur sport amongst recipients, living donors and donor families; promoting the study of transplantation; educating the public and raising awareness of the world shortage of donor organs; sharing new knowledge from biological/clinical studies; promotion of mental and moral improvement for recipients, living donors and donor families; fostering international friendship and relations.

Fundacja Mamo Pracuj

The Mamo Pracuj Foundation is dedicated to addressing the significant challenges faced by women returning to work after maternity, parental, and childcare leaves. Our mission is to empower these women by supporting their professional and personal development, enhancing their self-esteem, and helping them achieve a harmonious balance between family responsibilities and career aspirations. By aligning our activities with three key Sustainable Development Goals-Goal 5 Gender Equality, Goal 8 Decent Work, and Goal 10 Reduced Inequalities-we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable society. Since 2011, we have operated the nationwide portal www.mamopracuj.pl, which offers a wide range of resources including articles, webinars, video broadcasts, online courses, and podcasts. The portal attracts 80-100,000 unique users monthly, ensuring accessibility for all women, including those with disabilities and those living in remote areas. By connecting job-seeking women with employers who value diverse talents and support work-life balance, we facilitate opportunities for women to develop businesses and achieve financial independence. We collaborate with employers on diversity and inclusion initiatives, employer branding, and recruitment campaigns. Notably, we established Poland's first Parent-Friendly Employer Database and network, promoting supportive work environments. A core aspect of our work involves empowerment programs providing individual support, workshops, and training. In 2023, over 3,000 women benefited from these initiatives. Our #MamoPracujwIT project, launched in 2016, encourages women to pursue IT careers and challenges gender stereotypes by showcasing diverse IT roles and sharing success stories of women in tech. We have conducted several reskilling projects, including three editions of Let's Do IT AKAdemy with Akamai, two editions of Destination IT, and one edition of Her Way to IT. By partnering with companies seeking to diversify their teams, we make it easier for women to find employment in the IT sector. Our community of nearly 13,000 women supports and motivates each other, united by the goal of increasing diversity in the tech industry. In 2023, our activities included nearly 6,000 applications for 15 development programs, with 3,000 places available. We provided 1,500 hours of individual support and organized 28 offline meetings with almost 800 attendees. We hosted 100 webinars with over 4,000 participants and reached almost 1 million users on our portal. Our partnerships with organizations like Google, CITI Foundation, State Street Global Advisors, State Street Bank, and Mercy Corps (with support from the American Red Cross) underscore our commitment to empowering women and promoting equal employment opportunities. Three of our development programs were featured in the 2023 Responsible Business Forum report, and our partnership with Google was highlighted in their 2024 Diversity Annual Report.

We claim abortion back from the violent, oppressive systems of power, we show complexities of the needs and realities, by supporting bodily autonomy, by taking our own abortion experiences as starting point in the conversations, and lastly by placing abortion in a larger sociocultural perspective of intersectional fight for reproductive justice where voices of to those traditionally silenced and discriminated are centered. We addresses gross human rights violations which is the lack of access to safe abortion through a formal, institutionalized system in Poland.
