Convent of the Sacred Heart combines an outstanding academic experience with an environment that nurtures the heart, mind and spirit of its young women. We offer a rigorous and challenging curricular program for young women from pre-k through grade 12. The intertwining of intellect and soul is the essence of a Sacred Heart education. Inherent in what makes Sacred Heart unique is a rich history that began at the turn of the 19th century. In 1800, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat founded the Society of the Sacred Heart in France, with the singular and revolutionary goal of educating women. Her vision of personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom continues to guide us today. Convent of the Sacred Heart at 91st Street is part of a worldwide Network of Sacred Heart schools. Our Goals and Criteria, derived from St. Madeleine Sophie?s original concept of an ideal education, form the framework of our educational philosophy. As they have for 200 years, Sacred Heart women positively influence the world by thinking critically, acting with courage and compassion, and manifesting an informed and lively faith.

Folds of Honor is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of US military service members and first responders who have fallen or been disabled while serving our country and communities. Our educational scholarships support private school tuition or tutoring in grades K-12, tuition for college, technical or trade school and post-graduate work, including a master’s degree, doctorate, or professional program. Funds for a second bachelor’s degree or trade/technical program certification are also available. Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 51,000 scholarships totaling about $240 million in all 50 states. Among the students served, 45 percent are minorities. It is rated a four-star charity by Charity Navigator and Platinum on Candid. Every donation provides life-changing scholarships to families of America's fallen or disabled military and first responders. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded approximately 51,000 educational scholarships. Those 51,000 educational scholarships total nearly $240 million in educational impact. Minority recipients represent 45% of all scholarships awarded. Folds of Honor is proud to have a cumulative average ratio of 91% of every dollar raised going to our scholarship program. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation provides vital assistance and educational programming to the professionals of SAG-AFTRA while serving the public at large through its signature children's literacy programs.Our programs reflect the concerns and interests of SAG-AFTRA members as well as their desire to give back to their communities. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is independent from SAG-AFTRA but offers substantive services to performers, free of charge. The Foundation relies solely on the support from grants, corporate sponsorships, bequests and individual contributions to maintain our programs and create new ones.

Northeast Animal Shelter is a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to saving unwanted dogs and cats by placing them in permanent homes. NEAS' innovative programs include Canine and Feline Rescue, Community Outreach, Humane Education. NEAS is focused on dealing with the problem of overpopulation and humane treatment of animals.

Big Cat Rescue, one of the world’s largest accredited sanctuaries for exotic cats, is a leading advocate in ending the abuse of captive big cats and saving wild cats from extinction. Care of our cats. The narrow mission of Big Cat Rescue is to provide the best permanent home we can for the abused, abandoned and retired cats in our care. We do this by building enclosures in a very natural habitat with foliage and shelter on our 67 acre site, by providing the best nutritional and medical care possible, and by having active operant conditioning and enrichment programs to provide for their physical and psychological well being. Education. The broader mission of the sanctuary is to reduce the number of cats that suffer the fate of abandonment and/or abuse and to encourage preservation of habitat and wildlife. We urge people to behave in a way that will support these goals by teaching people about the plight of the cats, both in the wild and in captivity. We accomplish this through educational guided tours, educational programs for young people, and by maintaining a website that is the world's largest and best resource for information about exotic cats.

The Epilepsy Foundation is the national organization that works for people affected by seizures through research, education, advocacy and service. We are an organization of volunteers committed to the prevention and cure of epilepsy and a positive quality of life for everyone who lives with seizure disorders. Our current strategic goals include broadening and strengthening of research, providing individuals and families with easy access to reliable information, and assuring access to appropriate medical care for those affected by seizures.
