Being alone onstage is part of the job of the stand up comedian. Feeling alone offstage is unacceptable. Comedy Gives Back was created so that comedians have resources to turn to when times get tough. As the pandemic has shown everyone, we all need help. Not all comedians are household names. Many are struggling just to get by and make make the world a better place through laughter. We're here to help. We provide financial crisis relief, mental health and chemical dependency treatment sponsorship and continued community support.

Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) is a 501(c)(3) No Kill animal organization that provides the programs and initiatives to directly address the shockingly high, needless euthanasia rates seen in animal shelters in Central Texas and all over the U.S. Since its creation in 2008, APA! has helped Austin become the nation’s largest No Kill city, pushing the cities save rate from 45% to over 98% in only 10 short years. APA! has saved over 10,000 lives, leading the way in developing comprehensive, innovative programs that target and rescue those most at risk of dying in other shelters such as animals with behavioral concerns, many common diseases, and neonatal kittens. Not stopping with this local success, Austin Pets Alive! is committed to helping more communities achieve No Kill status by teaching other rescue groups and shelters about APA!'s innovative and lifesaving programs and by extending APA!'s services to more shelters and pets throughout Texas. In 2018, the organization began building out its Maddie's® Lifesaving Academy, bringing over 400 students annually to its central facility in Austin and to the city's shelter, Austin Animal Center, to learn how to replicate Austin's outstanding success in No Kill practices. Additionally, the academy allows APA!’s expert staff to travel to, consult with, and mentor shelters and groups in other communities in their efforts to become No Kill.

Advocates for Children and Families, Inc. (ACF) was founded in 1992 to provide ethical adoption services to children and families. Throughout our 30 years of operation there have been many changes in legislation and advances in the evidence-based social sciences related to adoption, that have influenced our model of practice. One aspect of our work that has never changed is ACF's child-centered approach of prioritizing the well-being of children. Our mission is to promote and assist in the formation of stable families. The well-being of children is our priority. We believe every child deserves a permanent home in a safe, nurturing environment.  Our team is comprised of attorneys, licensed mental health professionals, and support staff who are specially trained and continually engaged in advancements within the field of child welfare and adoption. ACF's commitment to advocating for children and families has resulted in over 1,026 children finding stability and permanency within a nurturing family. By supporting Advocates for Children and Families, you are participating in improving the lives of children and families. Charitable contributions allow us to: 1) Find forever families for children with special needs. 2) Meet basic needs including housing, utilities, food, and clothing for families in crisis. 3) Support parents in creating individualized solution-focused plans to move from crisis to stability. 4) Provide trauma-informed clinical counseling services.

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. We meet the immediate daily needs of the people we serve with food, clothing and health care. We help break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor the elderly and individuals with mental illness.

Folds of Honor is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of US military service members and first responders who have fallen or been disabled while serving our country and communities. Our educational scholarships support private school tuition or tutoring in grades K-12, tuition for college, technical or trade school and post-graduate work, including a master’s degree, doctorate, or professional program. Funds for a second bachelor’s degree or trade/technical program certification are also available. Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 51,000 scholarships totaling about $240 million in all 50 states. Among the students served, 45 percent are minorities. It is rated a four-star charity by Charity Navigator and Platinum on Candid. Every donation provides life-changing scholarships to families of America's fallen or disabled military and first responders. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded approximately 51,000 educational scholarships. Those 51,000 educational scholarships total nearly $240 million in educational impact. Minority recipients represent 45% of all scholarships awarded. Folds of Honor is proud to have a cumulative average ratio of 91% of every dollar raised going to our scholarship program. The Colorado Hispanic Bar Association Foundation (the Foundation) raises money to fund and provide scholarships to students pursuing higher education in a legal field. Eligible students include those who are in good standing at an accredited school, have demonstrated a commitment to the Hispanic and Latino community, and have demonstrated an unmet financial need. The Colorado Hispanic Bar Association established the Foundation on September 12, 2006, to address the disproportionate underrepresentation of Hispanic and Latinos in the legal profession. By way of example, as of 2020, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, Hispanic and Latino residents in Colorado represented 21% of the Colorado population. According to the Colorado Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, however, only about 6.5% of attorneys in Colorado identified as Hispanic or Latino. The Foundation’s mission is to narrow this gap. The Foundation operates via its volunteer Board of Directors, which is comprised of Colorado Hispanic and Latino attorneys who have beaten the odds. In 2007, the Foundation endowed the Louis Romero Scholarship Fund at the University of Colorado School of Law and the Lawrence Manzanares Scholarship Fund at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Students may apply for these scholarships directly through CU and DU. These endowments address the main obstacle to Hispanic and Latino students attending law school – the exorbitant cost. Since creating the Louis Romero Scholarship Fund and the Lawrence Manzanares Scholarship Fund, the Foundation has awarded over 90 scholarships to Colorado’s Hispanic and Latino law students. In addition to the scholarships available from CU and DU, the Foundation is now providing direct scholarships to students outside these endowments. The Foundation’s direct scholarships are available to Hispanic and Latino students in need who attend law school anywhere in the nation as part of the Foundation’s Circle of Giving and the Ellen Alires-Trujillo & Lorenzo Trujillo Scholarship.

The Humane Animal Welfare Society leads the community in animal welfare and assures sanctuary for animals in need.

Donations made to the ACLU Racial Justice Program will fund our critical work to protect voting rights, demand that vulnerable people in prisons, jails and immigration detention centers be released, and fight to ensure reproductive health care remains open and accessible to all who need it.
